Shavuot (which is commonly called Pentecost) is a memorial of the day the laws and commandments were handed down to our foreparents at Mount Sinai. This momentous event happened seven weeks (50 days) from the Passover and from when our foreparents were freed from Egypt (Deut. 4:10-13). It was on the day of Pentecost our ancestors gathered at Sinai, and without questions, accepted God’s laws and commandments by replying “everything THE LORD has said we will do”  (Exodus 24:3). The annual observance of Pentecost was made mandatory by God (Lev. 23:15-22), and should be a time when we reflect on this great covenant between Him and us.

This year we will observe Shavuot on May 23, and you are invited to celebrate with us. We will be hosting various events throughout the day, and because Shavuot is a multifaceted holy day, we will be hosting a two-hour teaching session to explain the many aspects of the day. Refreshment will be served during the day, and a free meal will be served prior to the worship service at 7pm.

If you are not a regular member and plan to attend, please fill out the form below to register. We will send you regular updates and keep you abreast of any changes. Please also ensure that you (and any guest you are bringing) read and adhere to our code of conduct.
